The Young Thriller Band is a pop/rock/soul tribute band from England, and since their formation in 2012 has worked hard to gain fans by playing the most memorable songs from the King of Pop with interesting and exciting instrumentation.



This band brings a universal appeal and ability to enrapture fans of all ages and backgrounds, they diversify themselves with a unique infusion of various musical backgrounds combined with an unrelenting dedication to the quality, originality, and integrity of Michael’s music.

Harry Meredith - Musical Director / Drummer



Harry Meredith is currently on tour with the Forever Michael UK Concert Tour. He is the Musical Director and Drum Kit player for the show.



He has just finished his time at the Royal Northern College of Music where he received a scholarship to study percussion and was also the Vice President for Community and Welfare. His versatility as a musician means that he recorded and performed with RNCM's Big Band, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra and Brass Band, playing with world-renowned artists such as Guy Barker and Rob Buckland. He has also played the role of Prince Charming in an innovative production of Sondheims Into The Woods at the RNCM in 2010.


Harry has studied percussion with Dave Hassel, Simone Robello and Ian write as well as participating in master classes with Victor Mendoza and Arthur Lipner.
Recently, Harry performed with the internationally acclaimed Halle Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall, playing a reworking of Wagner's Ring. He also regularly plays with Slaithwaite Philharmonic and the Sinfonia of Leeds.


Harry has also enjoyed several wonderful solo opportunities, including performing as a soloist in Bonham, a drum kit concerto featured in the Rouse Festival and performing the soloistic drum kit part in Bernsteins Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
Harry plays with a number of function bands utilising his skills as both a Kit player and a Percussionist. He has performed with the RNCM Session orchestra and has played at the Liverpool Echo Arena for the Access to Music Awards.

Jake Brown - Bass / Bass Synth

 

Jake Brown is a versatile bassist with extensive experience in Electric, Synth & Double Bass. He is a freelance player based in Manchester UK woth over 10 years professional experience in both live, studio & theatre work.

He endorses Mono cases & EBS amplification. Having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music he has toured in the UK extensively and worked in professional studios up and down the country including Manchester Blueprint Studios & Wales Bryn Derwen.


Jake has worked with acclaimed artists & producers such as Idlewild, Dave Eringa, David Wrench & Freefall Music Company. Throughout all this work he has shared the stage with the likes of Marcus Miller, Greenday & Toploader.

Matt Willmot - Keyboards

 

Matt Wilmot is a Freelance Keyboard player/Producer based in Manchester. Born in Nottingham, he has been playing keyboard since the age of 6, and writing and performing live from the age of 12 with a wide variety of recorded and live acts.

 

He has just finished studying at The Royal Northern College Of Music  where he studied with established keyboard player Matt Steele (Brand New Heavy’s, DotFunk) and regularly works at Blueprint Studios in Manchester.

Will Tait - Guitars

 

Will Tait first picked up the electric guitar aged nine, taking lessons where he grew up in Nottingham. His passion for the instrument soon showed him that the only way he would ever want to make a living would be through music.

As a student at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, Will got used to playing music in a wide range of genres, and advanced his guitar technique and versatility. As well as working for MJW amplifiers and teaching privately,
Will is kept busy with the World's Greatest Michael Jackson Tribute Show, and as a huge fan of the king of pop, there is no job better suited to him. To find out more, go to www.willtaitmusic.com.

Ellie Pike - Saxophone / Vocals

 

Ellie Pike is a versatile saxophonist and vocalist who has recently completed her BMus at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester. She has recorded and performed on numerous occasions with ensembles including the RNCM’s internationally renowned Wind Orchestra, Big Band and Saxophone Orchestra. Her individuality as a saxophonist and singer made her a dedicatee of numerous new compositions making her a regular soloist at premieres at the RNCM during her time there.

 

Ellie is a founding member of the Urbis Saxophone Quartet with whom she has given various UK premieres, performed a concerto with the RNCM Wind Collective and recently reached the final of the national Clarinet and Saxophone Society Quartet Competition. Ellie is also a member of the Absolution Saxophone Quartet, with whom she will be giving a recital at the World Saxophone Congress later this year.

  
As a vocalist Ellie has performed as a soprano soloist on numerous occasions, singing as a soloist in choirs and Orchestras. In the summer of 2010 she was invited to perform at The Queen’s Birthday Party at the British Embassy in Tunis, performing the English and Tunisian national anthems in both English and Arabic.
